Martini’s - Cocktails

 

Classic Gin M  

 

Strip of Lemon peel

2 ½          Premium Gin

Splash       Vermouth

3              Speared Olives

 

Vesper

 

3              Gin

1              Vodka

½             Lillet Blanc

Is an aromatized wine from France made from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion grapes. The base wine is mixed with a maceration of different fruits and brandy.

 

Gibson   or    Gimlet (substitute lime cordial for vermouth)

 

2              Prem. Gin                         

½             Dry Vermouth

3              Pearl Onions

 

Very Dry Martini

 

2 ½          Premium Gin or Vodka

1              Olive Juice

3              Speared green Olives

 

Dirty Bloody Martini

 

Add a couple of oz. of Bloody Mary Mix and Splash of Lemon Juice

 

Manhattan

 

2              Whiskey (rye, blended or bourbon)

1              Sweet Vermouth

2 or 3        Dashes of Angustura Bitters

Maraschino Cherry, for Garnish

 

Inside out Bloody Martini

 

3 to 4        Spicy Mary cubes

2              Pepper or Lemon Vodka

Splash   of Lemon juice

Splash   of Tabasco

Small     of Celery Stalk, for Garnish

Speared red chile pepper, for Garnish

 

To make spicy Mary cubes: make your own bloody Mary mix or by a premade one and add horseradish, whole olives or Worcestershire sauce or whatever else you like to put in your bloody Mary mix. Pour the spicy Mary Mix into ice trays, and place in the freezer.

 

Cigar Martini

 

1              Scotch (Johnnie Walker, red or black)

1              Tia Maria Liqueur

¾             Tawny Port

 

Sidecar Martini

 

1 ½          Calvados

1              Cointreau

1              Lemon juice

Wet the rim of glass with lemon juice and dip into superfine sugar

 

Cosmopolitan

 

2              Red Cranberry juice

1 ½          Citrus Vodka

1              Cointreau

½             Lime juice

Orange twist for garnish

 

White Cosmopolitan

 

Substitute white cranberry juice vs. red

 

Kiwi Cosmopolitan

 

1 ½          Citrus Vodka

½             Cointreau

½             Midori

2              White Cranberry juice

1 ½          Kiwi puree

Splash of Lime juice

 

Kiwi puree: peel 4 kiwis and blend with ½ ounce simple syrup. For a more tropical flavor, you can also add a New Zealand gold kiwi.

 

Apple Martini

 

2              Premium apple juice or apple cider

1 ½          Citrus Vodka

1              Apple Schnapps (apple liquor)

1              Green apple puree

Option, splash of lemon juice

Green apple wedge, for garnish

 

Strain into a chilled martini glass, garnish with an apple wedge

 

Lemon Drop Martini

 

2              Lemon or Citrus Vodka

             Lemon Juice

½             simple Syrup

 

Lemon Drop Tequina

 

Substitute 100% blue Agave Tequila for the Vodka and increase the simple syrup to 1 oz. for a Mexican version of Lemon drop.

 

Bloody Orange Martini

 

2 ½          Blood Orange juice

1 ½          Grey Goose Orange Vodka

½             Grand Marnier

½             Orange Curacao

½             Lemon drop

Blood orange slice for garnish

 

Grapefruit Squeeze

 

3              Squeezed Grapefruit juice (fresh, ½  grapefruit)

¾             Vodka

¾             Gin

½             simple Syrup

1              Tonic water

Grapefruit slice for garnish

 

French Martini

 

1 ½            Premium Vodka

1                Pineapple juice

¾               Chambord

Lemon peel for garnish

 

Purple rain Martini

 

2 ½             Pomegranate, infused Sake

2 ½             Pineapple juice

½                Chambord

 

Note: to make Pomegranate infused Sake, combine 1 liter of Sake with the seeds of 2 Pomegranates. Let infuse for a week. If pressed, combine 2 ½ oz. Sake and ½ oz. Pomegranate juice.

 

Sangritini

 

1              Orange slice

1              Lemon slice

1              Lime slice

½             Citrus or Orange Vodka

½             Cointreau

2 ½          Merlot Wine

1              Pineapple juice

Cherry for garnish, Orange wheel for garnish

 

Fruit smashed and strained in a shaker

 

Bellini Martini

 

1              White peach puree

½             Vodka

½             Peach Schnapps

2 to 3       Champagne

Splash      Lemon juice

Peach slice of garnish

 

Note: to make fresh white peach puree, blend together the flesh of 2 rips peeled peach with about ¾ oz. single syrup.

  

Strawberry Martini

 

1 ½          Vodka or Gin

1 ½          Strawberry juice

1              Orange juice

¾             simple Syrup

½             Cointreau

Splash      Lemon juice

Strawberry for garnish

 

Strawberry Thyme

 

2              Strawberries

3              Springs Thyme, 1 for garnish

¾             simple Syrup

½             Lemon juice

2              Plymouth Gin

½             Cointreau

 

In a cocktail shaker, mash together the strawberries and springs of Thyme with simple syrup and Lemon juice. Add the Gin and Cointreau fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled Martini glass and garnish with the remaining spring of Thyme.

 

 

Razzle Dazzle Martini

 

1              Raspberry puree

2              Raspberry Vodka

2              White cranberry juice

Splash   of Lemon juice

Raspberry for garnish

 

Mojito Martini

 

½             Lime, cut into wedges

5 to 7       Mint leaves

¾             simple Syrup

2              Bacardi Limon Rum

1              Soda water

Mint sprig, for garnish

  

Mai Taini

 

1              White Rum

1              Pineapple juice

¾             Orange Curacao

½             Lime juice

½             Orgeat Syrup (almond syrup)

½             Grenadine

½             Myers Rum

Pineapple chunk for garnish

 

Watermelon Martini

 

4              Watermelon puree

1 ½          Bacardi Limon Rum

½             Watermelon Schnapps

Splash   of Lemon juice

Basil spring and watermelon wedge for garnish

 

Note: one medium size Watermelon makes about 4 cups of puree

 

Sake Martini

 

3              Thin Cucumber slices

1 ½          Vodka

1 ½          Sake

1              Plum Wine

 

Hibiscus Rose

 

3 to 5       Mint leaves

1              simple Syrup

2              Vodka

2              chilled Hibiscus Tea

3              Rose petals, for garnish

 

In a cocktail shaker, mash the mint leaves with simple syrup. Add the Vodka and Hibiscus tea, fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled Martini glass. Float Rose petals on for garnish

  

Pomegranate Martini

 

1 ½          Citrus or Orange Vodka

1 ½          Pomegranate juice

1              Grapefruit juice

½             Lemon juice

½             simple Syrup

Splash   of Cointreau

Lime fruit, for garnish

 

Elderflower Martini

 

1 ½          Hendricks Gin

1 ½          Elderflower Cordial

½             Dry Vermouth

Splash   of Lime juice

Honeysuckle blossom or other small flower for garnish

 

White Chocolate

 

1 ½          White crème de Cacao

1              Stoli, Vanilla Vodka

1              Light cream

½             Godiva white chocolate

Splash   of Licor 43

5              ounces melted white Chocolate, for rim

Strawberry, for garnish

 

Tiramisu Martini

 

1              Kahlua

1 ½          Chilled espresso

½             Stoli, Vanilla Vodka

½             White crème de Cacao

1              Light cream

½             simple Syrup

1              Large egg white (optional)

Chocolate shaving for garnish

 

Note: First, combine the Kahlua and chilled espresso directly in the glass. Next, combine the Vanilla Vodka, white crème de Cacao, light cream, simple Syrup and egg white in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Strain carefully into a Martini glass so that it layers on top of the espresso layer.

Cactaur root

Jambu's Bar at the Raffles Resort in the Grenadines boasts a lucky 88 martinis, four of which top the price list at $300 per glass. The key ingredient in each is a customized and handmade 14-karat gold sword: The Bushido features a miniature samurai sword; the Old Glory comes with a Civil War-era replica; the Excalibur has a version of its eponymous legendary saber; and the Classic sports a regular sword. Collect them all.
